Dr Dominic Aouad - Moderator

Dominic is the President and Chair of the Australian Dental Association NSW Branch, driving forward oral health initiatives and elevating professional standards. Dominic has a Master of Business Administration and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Along with being a Partner at his practice in Sydney,  Dominic also holds roles as a Medicolegal expert, a Board member of Filling the Gap charity, and an industry expert for the Industry Collaboration Reference Group for TAFE NSW.

Dr Kate Amos - Chair, ADA Infection Control Committee

Kate is a general dentist in a private group practice on the Mid-North Coast of NSW. Kate has a Masters in Health Professional Education and is on the Board of ADA NSW and the Australian Dental Council. Kate has undertaken additional training with the College of Infection Prevention and Control and Governance Institute of Australia and has been part of the ADA Infection Control Committee since 2018.

Emeritus Professor Laurence Walsh AO - Past Chair, ADA Infection Control Committee

Emeritus Professor Laurie Walsh AO is a specialist in special needs dentistry who has been on the academic staff of the University of Queensland for over 40 years.  Laurie has been involved in research and infection control and microbiology for over 30 years, and has served on the ADA’s Infection Control Committee for over 25 years.  He was the editor of the second to fourth editions of the ADA Infection Control Guidelines and supporting resources.  Laurie serves on several committees of Standard Australia involved in PPE and instrument reprocessing.

Associate Professor Sharon Liberali AO - Vice Chair, ADA Infection Control Committee

Assoc Prof Sharon Liberali is a specialist in special needs dentistry. She is the Director and Senior Consultant of the Special Needs Unit of the Adelaide Dental Hospital, an honorary Associate Dental Consultant at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and convenes the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Geriatric and Special Needs Dentistry at the Adelaide Dental School.  Sharon is also the Principal Dentist of Health Partners Dental, SA’s largest private dental practice, the past chair of the ADA Inc. Infection Control Committee, and is a member of Standards Australia committee HE-023 (instrument reprocessing).​
